Borgarfjörður
“Borgarfjörður” oil painting on canvas measuring 75 × 75 cm is inspired by a stop I made during one of my trips through Borgarfjörður in Iceland. It was summertime, and the landscape around the fjord was filled with blooming lupine flowers, creating a soft purple foreground against the calm water.
The fjord was in low tide, revealing the shoreline and reflecting the peaceful atmosphere of the place. In the distance, the mountains rise beyond the water, completing the quiet and beautiful Icelandic scenery.
