This oil painting on canvas, measuring 160 x 80 cm, is inspired by the powerful presence of Vestrahorn on the Icelandic coast at the beginning of spring. Snow still rests on the mountains, while in the foreground the black sand dunes hold traces of ice and frozen textures.
